Tomasz W\u00f3jcik\u2019s works are a contemporary reflection of the Pythagorean idea of organizing the world through numerical relationships. A work of art should embody the order and rhythm that surround humanity, bearing witness to the unity of the macrocosm and microcosm. This idea has been reflected for centuries in architecture, music, and the visual arts. The beauty of form was seen as almost touching the sacrum, and any violation of harmony could be considered a sin. Tomasz W\u00f3jcik demonstrates that this principle holds true even when the work of art\u2014a work that preserves the knowledge of cathedral builders\u2014is a poster or a book cover. A line that maintains harmonic division becomes a narrative about an all-encompassing unity, integrating the work and the individual who interacts with it into the rhythm of the world.<\/em><\/p>\n

Graphic designer, stage designer, theater director, and PhD in physics.<\/p>\n

He creates posters for theater productions and films. His works have been exhibited at numerous venues, including the International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, the Lahti Poster Triennial, the International Biennial of the Poster in Mexico City, the Trnava Poster Triennial, the Contemporary Polish Poster exhibition in Chicago, and the International Biennale of Theatre Poster in Rzesz\u00f3w. His poster for the Polish film \u201eThe Complaint\u201d (\u201eSkarga\u201d) was awarded the best poster at the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival in Strasbourg, France, in 1992. His graphic works are distinguished by their clarity, achieved through the use of geometric forms.<\/p>\n

Tomasz W\u00f3jcik designs stage sets and theatrical costumes and is the author of over 50 projects, including performances of classical works such as \u201eAntigone\u201d by Sophocles, the \u201eBhagavad Gita\u201d based on the Mahabharata, and \u201eRichard III\u201d by William Shakespeare, as well as modern texts like \u201eThe Trial\u201d by Franz Kafka, \u201eThe Plague\u201d by Albert Camus, and \u201eThe Emperor\u201d by Ryszard Kapu\u015bci\u0144ski. In 1991, he made his directorial debut with the play \u201eA Dangerous Game\u201d by Friedrich D\u00fcrrenmatt at Teatr Adekwatny in Warsaw. He also directed \u201eMacbeth\u201d by William Shakespeare (2003) at Teatr Na Woli in Warsaw and the original play \u201eGlare\u201d (1993). He was associated with Teatr Adekwatny for many years.<\/p>\n

W\u00f3jcik is the author of various graphic projects, including covers for books and magazines, such as \u201eLabyrinth of Light\u201d (\u201eLabirynt \u015bwiat\u0142a\u201d) by Jerzy W\u00f3jcik and \u201eProtagonist\u2019s Journey in a Polish Feature Film\u201d (\u201eWyprawa bohatera w polskim filmie fabularnym\u201d) by Seweryn Ku\u015bmierczyk. He has collaborated with the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw and Warsaw University of Technology, contributing to educational projects. He served as the artistic director for interdisciplinary initiatives, including the Festival of Contemporary Art \u2013 Four Elements<\/em>, the Lenten Triptych, and Animagic<\/em>. Between 2009 and 2013, he co-created the art club Lokal U\u017cytkowy<\/em> in Warsaw. He is also involved in developing YouTube channels:<\/p>\n

Tomasz W\u00f3jcik\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u662f\u5f53\u4ee3\u5bf9\u6bd5\u8fbe\u54e5\u62c9\u65af\u901a\u8fc7\u6570\u5b57\u5173\u7cfb\u7ec4\u7ec7\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u7406\u5ff5\u7684\u53cd\u601d\u3002\u827a\u672f\u4f5c\u54c1\u5e94\u4f53\u73b0\u73af\u7ed5\u4eba\u7c7b\u7684\u79e9\u5e8f\u4e0e\u8282\u594f\uff0c\u89c1\u8bc1\u5b8f\u89c2\u5b87\u5b99\u4e0e\u5fae\u89c2\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u7edf\u4e00\u3002\u8fd9\u4e00\u7406\u5ff5\u51e0\u4e2a\u4e16\u7eaa\u4ee5\u6765\u5728\u5efa\u7b51\u3001\u97f3\u4e50\u548c\u89c6\u89c9\u827a\u672f\u4e2d\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u4f53\u73b0\u3002\u5f62\u5f0f\u7684\u7f8e\u88ab\u89c6\u4e3a\u51e0\u4e4e\u89e6\u53ca\u795e\u5723\uff0c\u800c\u4efb\u4f55\u5bf9\u548c\u8c10\u7684\u7834\u574f\u90fd\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u89c6\u4e3a\u7f6a\u8fc7\u3002Tomasz W\u00f3jcik\u8bc1\u660e\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e00\u539f\u5219\u5728\u5f53\u4ee3\u4f9d\u7136\u9002\u7528\uff0c\u5373\u4f7f\u827a\u672f\u4f5c\u54c1\u2014\u2014\u4e00\u4ef6\u4fdd\u5b58\u7740\u6559\u5802\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u77e5\u8bc6\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u2014\u2014\u662f\u6d77\u62a5\u6216\u4e66\u7c4d\u5c01\u9762\u3002\u4e00\u6761\u4fdd\u6301\u548c\u8c10\u5206\u5272\u7684\u7ebf\u6761\uff0c\u6210\u4e3a\u5173\u4e8e\u5305\u5bb9\u6027\u7edf\u4e00\u7684\u53d9\u4e8b\uff0c\u5c06\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e0e\u4e0e\u4e4b\u4e92\u52a8\u7684\u4e2a\u4f53\u878d\u5165\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u8282\u594f\u4e2d\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
